Abbey 345 Pre-School provides high quality care and education for children aged between 2 and 5 years old and is open every day during term time.
The Pre-School is situated within the grounds of South View Primary School next to the Croyland Children’s Centre. We have modern purpose-built premises with two large rooms, incorporating different learning areas, with a wide range of equipment and interesting activities. Our outside provision includes a soft all-weather play area, a kitchen garden and a stunning sensory garden, enabling us to provide a variety of outdoor resources.
We are very much part of our local community, attending local events and developing essential links with individuals and organisations. We have close working relationships with the staff at South View Primary School and other local schools. This ensures that children reaching school age are given the opportunity to interact with the foundation staff at these schools, to make the transition from Pre-School to school as smooth as possible.
We are a registered charity (1155108) which is governed by a dedicated Management Committee of voluntary members (trustees).
We are registered to deliver the government funded 2 year old entitlement and the Early Years Entitlement (EYE), which commences the term after a child’s 3rd Birthday.
As a setting we are fully committed to the principles of equality and inclusion, and will do our best to meet each and every child / family’s individual needs – see our SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) and Pupil Premium statements.
The Pre-School Manager is Mrs Kathy Crouch, who has over 18 years experience and is directly involved in the care, development and education of the children on a daily basis.
